Making your smile as good as new with crowns or bridgework.

Where damage to a person’s teeth is extreme, we can use porcelain or zirconia crowns to make the smile appear “as new”. This is an extremely reliable technique for repairing the most severe of dental problems including large cavities, cracked teeth, broken teeth, and extremely worn teeth.  We can also use crowns to permanently replace missing teeth to offer a complete smile and a more functional chewing surface.

This crown procedure typically requires two visits to our office. Initially, Dr. Taylor will remove decay, shape the tooth, and fit it with a temporary.  At a subsequent visit approximately three to four weeks later, we will remove the temporary crown, fit and adjust the final crown, and cement the final crown in place for a beautiful looking new tooth.

This treatment can last for 20 to 30 years, which is as close to permanent as dental treatment can get. Lastly, for patients looking to improve the esthetics of their smile, we will sometimes place crowns to improve the overall appearance of not only their teeth, but their face.
